GREENLAND, N.H. —
All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Greenland were closed for about 15 minutes Monday afternoon because of a car fire.
Traffic delays were reported on I-95 in the area of the crash, with backups spreading into Maine, officials said.
State police said Robert Green, 30, of Norwood, Massachusetts, was driving a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica southbound on I-95 in heavy traffic when he collided with another vehicle.
Officials said the collision was minor, but for unknown reasons, the Chrysler began to smoke and quickly became engulfed with fire.
All occupants of the Chrysler were able to get out of the car without being injured.
All lanes were initially closed after the car fire.
Roads are typically busy on Columbus Day as travelers head back from their holiday destinations.
