WESTBROOK — A 48-year-old Clinton woman was killed Sunday night during a motor vehicle accident in which the Jeep she was a passenger in rolled over on Interstate 95 and struck a Jersey barrier, according to state police.
Angela Ford sustained fatal injuries at the scene, the report said. The operator, a 48-year-old Clinton man, was headed south in his 1978 Jeep near Exit 64 at about 7:40 p.m., when he swerved hard to the left for an unknown reason, causing the Jeep to roll over, according to officials from Troop F in Westbrook.
He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, the release said.
The crash closed I-95 south near Exit 64 in Westbrook for several hours. The incident was cleared just before 11 p.m. and the highway reopened early Monday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation.
